From a very young age Tim felt a strong calling to cultivate a relationship with Jesus Christ.

In spite of being raised in a denomination that didn’t encourage personal Bible reading or Bible study he remembers carrying a little, red New Testament in his pocket as far back as elementary school,

As a high school senior, Tim would often incorporate Scriptures into the love letters he would give to his high school sweetheart, Tina, whom he married shortly after graduation.  By the way, Tim and Tina will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary on February 10, 2008.  Dynamite! (get it? T-n-T ?)

Approximately 2 years into their marriage they started to cultivate a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ through a home Bible study they were invited to attend.  Although he already considered himself a Christian, this was where Tim began to develop a deeper understanding of what it meant to have a relationship with Christ - to be “born again” - and to understand the importance of studying God’s Word.

It was in this Bible study that he also developed a love for praise and worship music and, at the age of 20, purchased an acoustic guitar and taught himself to play.  He eventually would lead worship in many small group settings as well as in various church settings throughout the coming years.

Before picking up the guitar, Tim was already proficient on the drums, having taken lessons and playing with the school concert and marching bands since the fifth grade. (and, of course, spending time on his red sparkle trap set, in his parents’ basement, banging along to the beat of those great groups from the early rock era).

Not long after graduating high school, Tim became the drummer for a local country rock band.  After playing for only a few months at some of the areas roughest bars, God made it very clear that he was supposed to walk away from that situation and use his gifts more directly in the worship of God.

In addition to his involvement on church worship teams, Tim has performed special music with his wife (who is an awesome vocal harmonist), singing at many weddings, banquets, and churches.  He also was a part of 2 small performing/recording projects. The first was a 4 piece band called “Symmetry” and the other was a 3 piece acoustic ensemble called “Nothing to Hide”.  Both projects featured original songs written or co-written by Tim.  “Nothing to Hide” was a joint project with “Just Rain’s” own bassist, Scott Salinger, and also featured some original tunes penned by Scott.

Tim is excited to be back on his original instrument setting the tempo behind a very talented group of Christian musicians who are eager to minister and bring glory to God and His Kingdom!
