JUST RAIN Mission Statement by Jeff Zimmerman

We use modern Christian Rock Worship music along with teaching and testimony to:

  • Challenge believers in Christ to a deeper level of worship by leading them into a greater awareness of the presence of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:15-16) and to a more honest, intimate, loving relationship with God the Father (Mark 12:30).
  • Teach the truth of God’s word to destroy Satan’s works bringing release and healing to spiritual prisoners (Psalm 149:6-9, Luke 4:18-19, 1 John 3:8).
  • Be examples as leaders and seekers of God leading lives characterized by humility, righteousness and love (Titus 1:8).
  • Encourage unity among believers through ministry within a variety of churches and ministries (John 17:22-23) exhorting them to love others through practical ministry and missions (Mark 12:31).
  • Gracefully urge non-believers toward faith in Christ by communicating and demonstrating the genuine family-love that comes from knowing and following Jesus (Romans 10:13-15, John 13:34-35)

Just Rain’s Calling

The Apostle Paul compares the Christian life to the life of a soldier and an athlete.  Both need to discipline their lives in order to accomplish their goals.  All Christians must learn to daily discipline their lives seeking first the Lord’s kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

"You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs—he wants to please his commanding officer. Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor's crown unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops. Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this."  2 Timothy 2:1-7 (NIV)

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.   They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.   Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air.   No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize."   1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (NIV).

We are in a spiritual war (2 Corinthians 10:3-5, Ephesians 6:12).  God is raising-up an army of believers that will overcome Satan (Revelation 12:11).  This victorious army will love their Commander more than their own lives and display discipline, wisdom and skill.
